Regeneration is one of those beautiful words with many influences. In biology, Wiki states that regeneration is the process of "renewal, restoration, and growth that makes genomes, cells, organisms, and ecosystems resilient to natural fluctuations or events." Regeneration comes to us from the Latin "regeneratio" and Greek "anagennesis." It is mentioned in the Bible and is defined by Webster's as a "spiritual renewal or revival." Springtime is a whole season of regeneration as we clear out the cobwebs of our lives, renovate our surroundings and witness the blossoming of nature anew. Spiritually, it is a time of growth wherein we may link our lives with life's most important moments, peak experiences, and times when we give of ourselves to others and for a greater good.
The Texas Pool, too, is in a state of regeneration this spring. The Texas Pool Board, their families, and other volunteers will be at the facility almost every weekend from now till Memorial Day. Feel free to join in! See a project you'd like to share with the community? Take it on. We'll be right there beside you as together we experience the regenerative power of springtime.
