Christmas Tradition

December 23, 2018

Each year the days swirl by faster and faster like a line from my favorite children’s Christmas book, “as leaves that before the wild hurricane fly.” The Holiday Season carries with it the memories of Christmas past and the hopes for future celebrations. We anticipate family and friends gathering round, feasts and presents, religious services, and the sharing of our blessings with others. As we age, we begin to realize that more than things, experiences are important, as are the reminiscences of days we spent together. For almost 60 years, the Texas Pool has been a place where time slows down, memories are made, and family tradition is handed down through the generations. Looking back, our childhood home may now exist only in our hearts. Yet, at the Texas Pool one may still go back, discover a sense of community, and capture a cannonball off the diving board of life. Merry Christmas, everyone!
